Ref: #TC155D757DCA6 I book a 5 a series BMW to take me from my home to Heathrow airport, due to extreme weather we had been having i wanted to order a more robust car and as i am 6 feet 4 inches in height i wanted a car that i could ride in comfortably, at 5.55am i rang the number provided and asked where my taxi was as it was book to arrive at 5.45am, the lady who answered the call suggested that i call the taxi company who had accepted the booking, i explained that i had made the booking through Taxicode and it wasn't my job to chase the taxi company up, she then explained that she would get someone to call me, approximately 5 minutes later as gentleman called me and told me that the car was on its way and was expected within the next 10 minutes, he then text me shortly after to tell me the car was 3 minutes away and gave me the registration plate details of the car, 5 minutes after this as i stood outside my house a car drove passed which as i live on a dead end road is unusual at 06:15 on a Sunday morning, the car begin to reverse down the road and as it came closer i was able to make out the registration details and they matched the detail text over to me BK60 YDL, this turned out to be 9 year old Toyota, not the 5 series BMW that i had booked and that you had taken the money from my account prior to the journey being taken, the driver had no idea who he was due to pick-up and it was only after i had shown him the text messages from your employee did he agree to take me to Heathrow Airport, the journey it self was cramped and uncomfortable and due to the small size and age of the car at no point did i feel safe driving in the conditions, the driver himself explained that he was not willing to travel at more that 50mph due to the weather and the poor handling of the car on motorways. i rang your employee from the taxi to ask where the car i had book had gone and i was told that he had been involved in a accident and that the car that had been sent was the only option, i asked him to confirm that i would be receiving a refund for this issue and he firmly refused only saying that an apology was all he would be willing to offer. I booked the taxi through your web site, made a choice on the style of car and agreed to pay a premium for this choice, you in turn accepted the booking and accepted the payment up front, this is a legally binding contract between two parties and you did not uphold your side of the contract. I would like you to now please confirm that you will be refunding me the difference between the executive car rate and the basic car rate for the journey and will also be making a compensation payment to cover the time i have had to take to contact you both on the day of travel and to write this explanation and for the discomfort and the anxiety experienced during the journey from my home to the airport. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience, I expect this matter to be resolved quickly and if you are unable or unwilling to do so I will take this matter further.
