“UNPROFESSIONAL Despite trying to contact the assigned taxi company two days before our scheduled pickup, I could not get through to them to confirm. I turned to TaxiCode for reassurance and received an e-mail saying that the booking had been confirmed and the taxi would be there. However no taxi arrived and still no answer when I called. I telephoned TaxiCode to ask for assistance only to be told that they had been let down by this Private Hire firm before and that they couldn't provide a vehicle at such short notice. As this was a highly important business trip, I had no alternative than to hire a vehicle myself and driver at a premium cost to provide immediate transport for myself and six colleagues. I have been told by TaxiCode that I would receive a refund (of the original booking only not to cover the additional cost of the alternative hire) but still have not received either a response to my complaint or a refund.”
