Driver didn't have a marker to write the signage. The customer approached the driver who said waiting for Ramcharan (who was the booker not the customer) If the driver had written Ramcharan, the customer would of walked straight pass. Luckily for the customer, they made the connection.

After numerous calls between us and the driver to say where we were meeting him, he ended up leaving us stranded at Gatwick airport and I haven’t received a refund either. Considering I’m supposed to be a priority customer, the customer service is disgusting and when I called Taxicode they said the driver was there and we weren’t. I hired 3 taxi’s as I have a large family and lots of luggage, yet 2 drivers managed to locate us. I won’t be using Taxicode again and will be talking to trading standards about my refund.

Before the journey even took place I was disgruntled to have paid £51 to TaxiCode only to have a text from the taxi company directly saying the fare was £39. They explained that TaxiCode take the difference. Once our plane had landed, I received THREE different text messages from the taxi company saying the driver had been dispatched. I had a text message directly from a driver half an hour before our booked taxi saying ‘I am the driver waiting for you at the Airport. You want me to come inside or you can come outside PremierToyota Prius LL15 JVO Thanks’ When I replied saying ‘please meet us’ (as this was the service we had booked, after all) the driver responded saying ‘your driver is changed, he will contact you soon’. We heard nothing until a call from another driver at the time we were due to be picked up to tell us he was running 15 minutes late due to ‘road closures’. We we exactly on time at 00.45 waiting for the driver. A large number of other drivers had managed to be ready and waiting for passengers as they came into arrivals so unsure why our service couldn’t be. When the driver arrived he called and asked if we could meet him in the car park - again, not the meet and greet service we were expecting and had paid for. It was not until 01.17 that we were in the car. The driver did not confirm our destination before setting off and after about 10 minutes of driving by sheer luck my Partner realised that the address the satnav was using was an address from approx 5 years ago. All in all this was a disappointing experience and I would like to discuss reimbursement of the costs.

As I have relayed back to the taxi company, I ordered an estate wagon and mentioned how many luggages we were going to bring (3 medium, 2 carry on). What turned up was a Prius. The driver proceeded to tell me that the office said I didn’t order a larger car. If I ordered the Prius the price would’ve been cheaper too. As a Prius is small we’ve had to place one carry on on the passenger seat and the driver said the taxi company might charge me more because they’re not allowed to have suitcases on the passenger seat. I told him that I did indeed book an estate wagon and NOT a Prius. Also told him we mentioned all the luggage we were going to bring, so I told him I would email the taxi company with my booking confirmation attached. Hope they don’t charge me for this, if anything they would probably need to apologize for sending me a Prius when I clearly didn’t order one and paid more to have a much larger car (not a Prius).

Our driver was fine. The taxi company is awful. Terrible customer service. Taxi was supposed to pick us up at 10:00am to catch a flight. Taxi picked us up at 10:50. We will call the taxi directly next time, not a broker that gets a commission.
