“The car showed up late, the driver was rude, the booking office was unhelpful, the car smelt of smoke, the driver almost hit a cyclist and laughed, I had booked a stop as part of my journey and he acted as though it was a hassel and told me to hurry up and was driving with his hood up the whole time. “We were contacted by phone 20 mins early to say that the taxi firm was unable to take the ride and giving a replacement company and car number. The replacement car was on time. The driver needed to see our documentation and set off. After about 1 mile he mentioned that we would need cash payment. My wife called to say two other cabs outside house and cancelled them. We had a hospital appointment. So we have paid £47.50 twice and are very pissed off. How did this driver get our phone details etc. We had not given them to any other person. This raises security issues. Return with regular cab was £30.”
