On arrival at destination the driver said I hadn’t prepaid and demanded I pay the fare in cash. I showed him the email confirmation from Taxicode and also confirmation from my Amex statement proving I had paid. Driver called his manager who also said I hadn’t paid and demanded that I pay the driver directly. I said he should contact Taxicode as my contract is with them. The manager then said I had arranged the pickup directly with his company and Taxicode hadn’t passed the job to him. I said that is not possible as I had a confirmation from Taxicode for the job, and also how could driver know to come pick me up? After 20 minutes of haggling and standing in the freezing cold, Taxicode told the driver there had been a system error and that I had indeed prepaid. All in all this was a really awful experience that left me feeling really angry. I will not be using Taxicode again and will book directly with a local cab company to avoid a repeat of this shambles. Shame as I am a regular traveller to/from Heathrow.

1st driver had alleged road accident issues. 2nd driver also late- couldn’t use sat nav, and has dangerous road discipline!

I booked the taxi for 7.45am. The driver called at 7.30am to say he was at least 50 mins away. I found alternative travel. I have tried calling and have emailed to ask for a refund. Please can you get back to me letting me know when I will be refunded?
