“I was 20 minutes early to arrivals and noticed right away that there was no driver there to greet me. Granted, I was early. I called the company and after waiting on hold for about 5 minutes, the call disconnected. I tried again and after a lengthy wait, I connected with a human being who noted that I was early. “Not to worry” he said, “the driver will be there promptly at 1700hrs/5 pm.” He assured me that the driver would call once he arrived.
1700 hours arrived. No driver and no call from a driver. I looked outside. No sign of anyone with a meet & greet sign. At this point, I’m a tad nervous. I’m on a tight timeline. Call the company again - no answer…hold, hold, hold, disconnect.
I waited a total of 15 minutes and then decided that to take an uber… which costed me more but, it was there! Thanks to the skillful Uber driver (shoutout to Collin!) I was only 30 minutes late to my meeting.
In the meantime, I’ve not received one word from taxi code except to complete a review for their services! No driver ever called. No text, no email. No…nothing! Except this survey which seems to assume that the ride took place. Is this even a real service? I continue to ask myself. I could only conclude that it’s not and/or they care very little about customers or something terrible happened to the driver or all forms of electronic communication ceased to exist at the very moment they were attempting to reach me. Thus they were thwarted in their efforts to find me and just assumed that all worked out okay. Whatever th reason: taxi code was an enormous disappointment.
Thank goodness for a great credit card company.
